Family Deserves Justice

Editor, News-Herald: I’ve been hearing rumors about our Wood County Sheriff and the lack of investigation he is doing in the Deidre Week murder.
I have been saying for a long time that our justice system favors the criminal and makes criminals out of the victims and the family.
If the sheriff is a friend of any of the suspects, he should ask someone from another city or town to investigate.
I grew up in Vesper and I know a lot of people there. However, I do not know the Week family.
Isn’t it time we as taxpayers take a stand against crimes or coverups of crimes that are committed?
The Week family deserves justice for Deidre so they can have the satisfaction of knowing that the person who did this horrible thing will be brought to justice and not be let off with a slap on the wrist.
