Remembering Deidre's Birthday

Vesper Elementary School sixth-graders (above) release balloons Wednesday in honor of Deidre Week, their former classmate who would have celebrated her 12th birthday Wednesday. Deidre was killed by a hit and run driver while riding her bicycle near her home in March. Her mother, Brenda, examines an angel pin fastened to her jacket that bears a photo of her daughter.
