Remembering Deidre - Vesper Elementary

Vesper Elementary School students (from left) Jodi Scheunemann, 11, Jennie Dassow, 11, Angela Brock, 12, and Traci Henke, 12, sing “We Are The World” during a school assembly Friday afternoon in memory of their classmate Deidre Week. Deidre was killed in a hit-and-run car accident March 24 in Vesper. No arrests have been made in the accident. (Below) Deidre’s parents, David and Brenda greet Deidre’s classmates who made gifts, performed dances and told stories during the assembly. A memorial plaque also was placed in the school’s lobby.
