School’s Tribute to Deidre Was Special

June 9, 1995

We would like to thank everyone at Vesper School for the “Special Day” you gave us in memory of Deidre. So much thoughtfulness was put into everything you did. The plaque that was dedicated and the pink flowering trees show us that Deidre will always be remembered.

The moment we arrived and looked over all the colorful chalk drawings in the parking lot, we felt something special. So many precious gifts were given to us that day. All the tributes spoken from all of Deidre’s friends, Mrs. Molsli, Mrs. Winker and Mr. Schmidt meant so much to us.

We also loved watching the dance that the girls put so much into. It was great to see all the spirit and smiiles. The beautiful plaque, the angel, fowers, balloons, pink bow, memory box, the gifts for Brandon and Avery, and the card signed by everyone are such wonderful memories.

When Deidre left, a part of us went with her. There is a place inside of everyone who loved her that will always be Deidre’s place. All of your heartfelt hugs and tears touched us so deeply.

At the end, as the sun was shining on everyone, we watched and listened as you sang “We Are the World” to us. As the song went, you sent us your hearts that day, you made us stronger, and we do know that you care. We are all a part of God’s great big family.

Deidre left her footprints in your hearts, and you left yours in ours.
